Description
The General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University was founded in 1946. It was one of the five large-scale central hospitals in the country at that time. At the beginning of its establishment, it came from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Qilu Medical College, Liaoning Medical College, Guiyang Medical College and other famous domestic medical colleges and universities. The gathering of overseas medical experts and famous doctors has laid a solid foundation for the development of the hospital. After 70 years of development, the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University has become the largest comprehensive tertiary Class A hospital and Tianjin Medical Center integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention.
The hospital covers an area of 78,000 square meters, with a building area of 276,000 square meters and 2468 open beds. The hospital’s party committee has 12 general party branches and 92 party branches. There are currently 2215 party members. The hospital has 33 clinical departments, 9 medical technical departments, 10 clinical research institutes, and 3 provincial and ministerial research bases. It has 3 national key disciplines, 4 national "211 Project" key construction disciplines, and 8 national Key clinical specialty, with 2 post-doctoral mobile stations, 29 doctoral degree authorization points and 30 master degree authorization points.
As of August 2016, the institute has 4164 employees, 467 experts with senior professional titles, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 30 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 1 leading talent in the "Ten Thousand Talents Program" project, 1 1 winner of the "National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars", 2 winners of the "New Century Talent Project", and 11 first-level talents of Tianjin "131" Innovative Talents Training Project.
The hospital has formed its own medical characteristics in the development of multidisciplinary. More than 30 medical technologies including neurosurgery brain injury mechanism and clinical research, lung tumor surgery locally advanced lung cancer surgical treatment and lung cancer "individualized" multidisciplinary treatment have reached international and domestic Leading level, with equipment worth 1.042 billion yuan, with a total of 18,650 units (sets). The hospital's annual outpatient and emergency visits reached 3.2 million, the number of discharged patients reached 67,000, and the number of surgeries reached 32,200.
The hospital undertakes the clinical teaching and postgraduate training tasks of Tianjin Medical University's seven-year clinical medicine major, the seven-year imaging medicine major, the five-year program of the International College and the School of Nursing, the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, and the College of Imaging. The hospital has 90 doctoral supervisors, 237 master supervisors, 2700 students, nearly 1,000 regular residents, and 243 advanced doctors. The clinical medicine specialty is a national characteristic specialty. The clinical medicine majors of internal medicine and surgery are national-level brand-name courses for studying in China; obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and anesthesiology are brand-name courses for studying in China in Tianjin. The internal medicine teaching and research section is the "Tianjin Teaching Team", and the Medical Simulation Center is the "Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center" of Tianjin Colleges and Universities. Shao Zonghong is a famous teaching teacher in Tianjin.
Since the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the hospital has obtained 609 scientific research projects, including one of the "973" National Major Research Projects, one of the chief sponsors of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three of the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one of the outstanding youth science fund projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. 1 youth science fund project, 2 major research plan cultivation projects, 210 national natural science fund general and youth projects; won 26 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, published 4171 scientific papers, including 937 papers included in SCI, won 46 authorized patents.
